E1 Dorado Street <br />' Stockton, California <br />' Project No 207 2 <br /> August 18, 2000 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site at various times from <br /> 1990 to 1993 More recently, a deep monitoring well (MW-11) was constructed <br /> in April of this year Quarterly groundwater monitoring has been conducted <br />' at the site since the first wells were constructed This report documents a <br /> quarterly round of groundwater monitoring and sampling completed on July <br /> 18, 2000 <br /> 1.1 Site History <br /> Two 10,000 gallon underground diesel tanks and two 5,000 gallon <br /> underground gasoline tanks and a single 10,000 gallon underground gasoline <br /> tank formerly in use at the site were removed in 1990 Confirmation soil <br /> samples collected from the tank pit contained elevated levels of gasoline and <br /> diesel range petroleum hydrocarbons Subsequently, several thousand yards <br /> Iof impacted soil were exacted and removed to help mitigate the release <br /> In October of 1990, ERM West conducted additional work to characterize the <br /> lateral and vertical extent of the hydrocarbon contamination in the sub- <br /> surface This included installing 25 soil borings into groundwater of which, a <br /> total of 6 borings were later converted to groundwater monitoring wells <br /> Later, Groundwater Technology Inc (GTI) installed four additional monitoring <br /> 2937 Veneman Ave,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209)569 0295 <br /> I <br />
