Former Manna Pro Site Page 2
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
Project No 207 2
• October 27, 2003
Later, Groundwater Technology Inc (GTI) installed four additional monitoring
wells, a combination groundwater/vapor extraction well and three observation
wells These wells were used for the completion of groundwater pumping and
' vapor extraction pilot tests
Between 1996 and April of 2000, the principal remedial activity consisted of
groundwater monitoring In April of 2000, a deep monitoring well (1\4W-11)
was constructed to characterize the vertical distribution of hydrocarbons in the
subsurface At the same time, a new vapor extraction well and an air sparge
well were constructed as part of a pilot remedial test program Based on the
results of the pilot testing, a feasibility study was also completed which
suggested that a combined program of soil vapor extraction with air sparging
was a feasible corrective method The resultant Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
was implemented in 2001 with the construction of the limited, first-phase of
the system The system entailed operation of one vapor extraction well and
two air sparge wells for a period of 90 days The first phase of the CAP was
completed in May of 2002 and documented in a subsequent report
' Commencingin March of 2003 the final second-phase of the system was
 p Y
constructed, and the system construction was completed in August of this
years The remedial system consists of 11 vapor extraction wells and eight air
sparge wells along with the associated surface equipment and pipe runs The
' drilling of the new service wells and construction of the vapor extraction / air
sparge system was documented in a September 26, 2003 report entitled Rpt
— Vapor Extraction /Air Spare Remedial System Construction Note that, in
' the interests of clarity and minimization of clutter, the site maps attached to
this report do not show the 19 service wells
' 1.2 Scope of Work
The following work was completed during this round of groundwater
' monitoring
1 The depth to groundwater was measured in 10 monitoring wells, and 5
observation wells located on, or near the site
2 Groundwater monitoring included sample collection and subsequent
laboratory analysis from 4 monitoring wells
3 Collection of purge water from a prior monitoring event for recycling
2937 Veneman Ave ,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293
Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0293
