Former Manna Pro Site Page 2
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
' Project No 207 2
. August 1, 2003
' Later, Groundwater Technology Inc (GTI) installed four additional monitoring
wells, a combination groundwater/vapor extraction well and three observation
wells These wells were used for the completion of groundwater pumping and
' vapor extraction pilot tests
Between 1996 and April of 2000, the principal remedial activity consisted of
' groundwater monitoring In April of 2000, a deep monitoring well (MW-11)
was constructed to characterize the vertical distribution of hydrocarbons in the
subsurface At the same time, a new vapor extraction well and an air sparge
' well were constructed as part of a pilot remedial test program The
construction of MWD-11 was documented in the quarterly monitoring report
' for the spring 2000 monitoring event The results of the pilot test were
documented in the July 31, 2000 report entitled Report Remedial Action Pilot
Study, Former Manna Pro Site To date, a total of 11 groundwater monitoring
' wells, 5 observation wells, and three test wells have been constructed on or
near the Manna Pro site
' The San Joaquin County EHD has concluded that the release at this site has
been adequately characterized and directed that a Corrective Action Plan
. (CAP) be prepared and implemented The first phase of an air sparge 1 vapor
extraction system was constructed and operated for 90 days beginning on
February 14, 2002 Currently, the second phase of a vapor extraction and air
sparge system is in the final phases of construction as described in the CAP
1.2 Scope of Work
' The following work was completed during this round of groundwater
monitoring
1 The depth to groundwater was measured in 10 monitoring wells, and 5
observation wells located on, or near the site
2 Groundwater monitoring included sample collection and subsequent
laboratory analysis from 8 monitoring wells
' 3 Collection of purge water from a prior monitoring event for recycling
1
2937 Veneman Ave,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293
Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0293
