Former Manna Pro Site Page 2 <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> hro�ect No 207 2 <br /> April 23, 2003 <br />' Later, Groundwater Technology Inc (GTI) installed four additional monitoring <br /> wells, a combination groundwater/vapor extraction well and three observation <br /> wells These wells were used for the completion of groundwater pumping and <br />' vapor extraction pilot tests <br /> Between 1996 and April of 2000, the principal remedial activity consisted of <br />' groundwater monitoring In April of 2000, a deep monitoring well (MW-11) <br /> was constructed to characterize the vertical distribution of hydrocarbons in the <br /> subsurface At the same time, a new vapor extraction well and an air sparge <br />' well were constructed as part of a pilot remedial test program The <br /> construction of MWD-11 was documented in the quarterly monitoring report <br /> for the spring 2000 monitoring event The results of the pilot test were <br />' documented in the July 31, 2000 report entitled Report, Remedial Action Pilot <br /> Study FirmEr Manna Pro Site. To date, a total of 11 groundwater monitoring <br />' wells, 5 observation wells, and three test wells have been constructed on or <br /> near the Manna Pro site <br />' The San Joaquin County EHD has concluded that the release at this site has <br /> been adequately characterized and directed that a Corrective Action Plan <br /> (CAP) be prepared and implPmented Thi- first phase of an air ;nnrgp 1 vanor <br />' extraction system was constructed and operated for 90 days beginning on <br /> February 14, 2002 Based on the results of this work, a addendum to the <br /> Corrective Action Plan was prepared, and the addendum was recently <br />' approved Currently, the second phase of a vapor extraction and air sparge <br /> system is being constructed as described in the CAP <br />' 1.2 Scope of Work <br />' The following work was completed during this round of groundwater <br /> monitoring <br />' 1 The depth to groundwater was measured in 10 monitoring wells, and 5 <br /> observation wells located on, or near the site <br />' 2 Groundwater monitoring included sample collection and subsequent <br /> laboratory analysis from 4 monitoring wells <br />' 3 Collection of purge water from a prior monitoring event for recycling <br /> 10 <br />' 2937 Veneman Ave ,#13240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc Phone (209) 569-0293 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 Fax (209) 569-0293 <br /> 1 <br />
