Infurna
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department n
304 E. Weber Avenue, Third Floor ERM
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
Subject: Revised Chain-of-Custody
Phase II Subsurface Investigation
8855 South El Dorado Street
French Camp, California
Dear Mr. Infurna:
As requested, ERM-West, Inc. (ERM) is submitting a revised chain-of-
custody for samples collected during a Phase 11 Subsurface Investigation
of the Nortrax facility in French Camp, California. ERM summarized the
results of this investigation in correspondence to the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department dated 9 November 2004. Copies of
the analytical report and sample chain-of-custody were provided with
the summary letter. Following sample collection on 31 August 2004,
ERM's field scientist, Mr. Sam Febba, signed and dated the chain-of-
custody and sealed it inside the sample cooler. However, Mr. Febba did
not deliver the samples to the laboratory until 2 September 2004. The
chain-of-custody has been revised to indicate that the samples remained
in Mr. Febba's custody following their collection until they were
delivered to the laboratory. No holding times were exceeded as a result
of the delay in delivering the samples to the laboratory.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please do not
hesitate to contact me at (916) 924-9378.
Sincerely,
Matthew D.
