(Stantec) on your
behalf for the above-referenced site. In the report, Stantec presented monitoring and analytical
results from the sampling event on September 4 and 5, 2012 , and proposed that this site be
considered for closure under the Low-Threat Underground Storage Tank Case Closure Policy
(LTCP). Stantec informed the EHD that a No Further Action Report request would be prepared
and submitted to the EHD .
Based on the data from the third quarter sampling event in November 2012, the EHD concurs
with Stantec's determination that conditions may warrant site closure consideration . The END
requests that you submit a closure summary report that includes required data listed in Table 1
— Checklist of Required Data for No Further Action Requests at Underground Tank Sites
(Appendix A — Reports, Tri-regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation
and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, dated 16 April 2004, published by the California
Environmental Protection Agency Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region .
While all items in Appendix A should be addressed, the EHD is particularly interested in the
following to facilitate closure consideration:
• Cross sections showing correlated soil lithologies, contaminant concentrations, lateral
and vertical extents of impacted soil and groundwater, and contaminant migration
pathways .
• Tables of current and historical soil and groundwater data.
• Calculations showing current estimates of the residual dissolved and adsorbed total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) , 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1 , 2-DCA) , benzene
and methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) contaminant masses and an estimate of the
total mass of TPH-g , 1 ,2-DCA, benzene and MTBE removed to date.
I!
