I
ARCO #2130 page 2
7906 N . EI Dorado Blvd , Stockton
work plan addendum approval
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS (continued ) :
• Ensure an adequate number of soil samples are collected and
analyzed to support residual mass calculations and vertical soil
plume delineation conclusions. Soil contamination detected in the
deepest soil sample analyzed indicates that the vertical extent of the
plume is not defined and additional vertical investigation may be
warranted .
• Existing "VW-7" is screened across two permeable zones and could
be contributing to the vertical migration of dissolved petroleum
constituents . VW=7 is to be destroyed by over-boring during this
monitoring well installation phase. If a vapor well is needed in this
area, then a replacement vapor well , "VW-7R" , should be installed in
the vadose zone and above the historical depth to first ground water.
The well schematic for VW-7R is to be submitted to the SJCEHD
before the field work starts .
• The report of findings for this phase is to be in the format of an
f` updated Site Conceptual Model (SCM ) . Refer to EHD 's October 3 ,
{' 2003 comment letter for items of concern and items that were
I missing in the first SCM submittal ( URS) and include them in the
SCM update due at the SJCEHD within 90-days of the end of this field
work.
• Submit one SJCEHD Well Permit Application form and $89 fee for the
f onsite wells and one application form and $ 89 fee for the offsite
wells in a timely manner. A copy of the City of Stockton
E encroachment and revocable permit is to be included with the offsite
t application packet for MW- 14, 19 , & 21 .
REASONS FOR DISAPPROVAL OF THE WORKPLAN rH&S Section
` 25296.10(c)(3)1 :
• none .
"t
BY
t Michael Infurna , REHS .
