Box 2449
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Knoll:
Re: Quarterly Sampling Report, Groundwater Monitoring Wells - Stan IV:'nrri Ford
Dealership - TracY, California
Murray & Associates is forwarding for your review and consideration the following
"+ analytical results stemming from the last (Summer, 1991) round of water sampling at the
Stan Morri Ford Dealership, 144 West 11th Street, Tracy, California. The low
i concentration of the purgeabl, halocarbon contamination present in the groundwater
t appears to be relatively steady. The persistent presence of traces of these compounds in
MW-2, tete up-gradient well, after a period of one year leads me to suspect that the source
of this contamination may be coming from off-site. No volatile aromatic compounds
(BTXE) were in the groundwater at the site indicating
contamination that no from the
waste oil tank.excavation is reaching the groundwater. Shallow groundwater at the site is
staying at a depth of approximately 11 to 12 feet below the asphalt-covered surface of the
direction is still generally to the northeast.
Ford Dealership. Regional groundwater flow
All apparatus for groundwater sampling was brought to the site clean and in serviceable
condition. Following the purging and sampling of each subsequent well, all equipment was
steam-cleaned and washed in a solution of liquinox organic cleaner, rinsed in deionixed
water and allowed to air dry.
-- ----
Grauridwatet-sampling-prntacois-call-for-the-evacuation_of._a._suificient volume of water
from the well to insure that the sample is.collected from water that has been newly drawn
g geologic formation.
