This work was conducted to evaluate hydrocarbons in soil, monitor the <br /> concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons in ground water and to evaluate the direction and <br /> 1 gradient of groundwater flow beneath the site The locations of the monitoring wells are <br /> shown on Plate 2 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> r soil.Xorings and installing ten/' <br /> performed prior to this quarter included drilling twenty <br /> vapor-extraction wells, five groundZi+ater monitoring wells, one airs(parge well, and three <br /> sparge,fnonitoring points in the borings at the site Residual hydrocarbons were detected <br /> in soil to 60 feet below grade at the ground-water interface near the existing tanks, and <br /> dissolved hydrocarbons were detected at concentrations above maximum contaminant levels <br /> (MCL's) in water sampled from the three onsite ground-water monitoring wells <br /> t <br /> 1105kchr <br /> 30003-b <br />
