1
The laboratory analytical data for the aerated soil stockpiles was provided to BFI Following
approval by BFI, the aerated soil stockpiles were removed from the Site by Dillard and
transported to the BFI Class III landfill. Removal of the soil from the Site was completed on
' November 15, 1993. A total of about 920 cu. yds. of soil was transported from the Site to the
BFI landfill Disposal documentation for all soil removed from the Site is included in
' Appendix C.
' 6.0 INSTALLATION OF VAULT BOXES AND REMEDIATION PIPING
ARCO plans to implement a vapor extraction and air sparge system to remediate the petroleum
hydrocarbons in the soil and ground water at the Site. RESNA Industries of Rancho Cordova,
California (RESNA) is in the process of designing a soil and ground water remediation system
' for the Site To reduce future trenching across the Site, vault boxes and horizontal piping
associated with the remediation system were installed by Triangle concurrently with the
installation of the new product tanks and piping
Vault boxes were installed over existing wells and at the proposed locations of future wells
(Figure 4) Piping and conduits for vapor extraction, ground water recovery, and air sparging
' were installed from the vault boxes to the proposed remediation compound location As-built
drawings showing vault box and piping details are available from RESNA. The piping will
allow for connection of the wells to treatment systems in the future
7.0 SUMMARY OF RESULTS
This section summarizes activities related to UST and piping replacement, soil sampling
analytical data, soil disposal, and installation of remediation piping at the Site
ROWC-4S90CIATESy INC. 7 Doc #A158WO1 17
