1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report describes the removal and installation of underground storage tanks (USTs) and <br /> ' presents soil sampling analytical data for ARCO Products Company (ARCO) Facility No 2130 <br /> located at 7906 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California (Site). ARCO authorized Roux <br /> ' Associates, Inc , (Roux), under ARCO Task Order No. 2130-93-1 to: <br /> • observe the excavation and removal of four USTs and associated product lines, <br /> • collect and analyze soil samples, <br /> ' coordinate the aeration and disposal of excavated soil, <br /> • oversee installation of the remediation system piping, and <br /> prepare this report <br /> Soil samples were collected from beneath the removed tanks and product lines, and from the <br /> excavated soil stockpiles Tank removal and installation activities and associated efforts were <br /> conducted between August 16, 1993 and December 4, 1993 The work performed by Roux was <br /> conducted by Roux personnel under the direction of Mr. Todd Ramsden, California Registered <br /> ' Geologist No 5687 <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> 1 <br /> ARCO Facility No 2130 is an operating self-service gasoline station and ARCO AM/PM mini- <br /> market located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Hammer Lane and El Dorado Street, <br /> in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The Site is a relatively flat asphalt and concrete covered lot, <br />' at an elevation of about 15 ft. above mean sea level (USGS, 1980). Topography in the Site area <br />' slopes gently (less than 1 percent) toward the southwest <br />' The removed tanks included four (4) single-wall USTs (one 10,000-gallon fiberglass UST, one <br /> 6,000-gallon steel UST, and two 4,000-gallon steel USTs) formerly located in a common tank <br /> cavity south of the ARCO AM/PM building (Figure 2) Currently, Site features include an <br />' FXXjx S90CIATESy INC. ® 1 Doc #A 158W01 17 <br />
