MM"A1WArWAFN% <br /> Working to Restore Nature <br /> I <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive, Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916)852-6690 <br /> Fax (916) 852-6688 <br />► <br /> October 14, 1993 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> I ARCO Products Company <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Subject Status Report, Third Quarter 1993, for ARCO Service Station No 2130, 7906 <br /> North EI Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr. Carmel. <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), RESNA Industries (RESNA) has <br /> reviewed analytical data provided by EMCON Associates (EMCON) and has prepared this <br />► status report on the third quarter 1993 groundwater monitoring event at the subject site <br /> (shown on Plate 1) Work included measuring depths to water and collecting groundwater <br /> samples for subjective and laboratory analyses This work was conducted to monitor the <br /> concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons in groundwater and to evaluate the direction and <br /> gradient of groundwater flow beneath the site Field work for groundwater monitoring was <br /> i conducted by EMCON Associates (EMCON) of Sacramento, California EMCON was <br /> contracted by ARCO, EMCON subsequently forwarded their field notes and the laboratory <br /> reports to RESNA Data obtained from EMCON is presented in the Appendix to this <br /> report The locations of the monitoring wells are shown on Plate 2 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Environmental work performed at the site has included drilling 20 soil borings onsite and <br /> two borings offsite and installing ten vapor-extraction wells, five groundwater monitoring <br /> wells onsite and two offsite, one air sparge well, and three sparge monitoring points in the <br /> borings at the site. Residual hydrocarbons were detected in soil to 60 feet below grade at <br />► the groundwater interface near the existing tanks, however, gasoline hydrocarbons were not <br /> detected in the offsite soil borings Dissolved hydrocarbons were detected at concentrations <br /> above Maximum Contaminant Levels in water sampled from the five onsite and two offsite <br /> groundwater monitoring wells <br />►i oa2sccar <br /> 30003-9 <br /> 1 <br />
