Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Subject Status Report, First Quarter 1993, for ARCO Service Station No 2130, 7906 <br /> North El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Christie- <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), RESNA Industries (RESNA) has <br /> prepared this status report on work conducted during the first quarter 1993 at the subject <br /> site (shown on Plate 1) Work included measuring depths to water and collecting ground- <br /> water samples for subjective and laboratory analyses This work was conducted to monitor <br /> the concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons in ground water and to evaluate the direction <br /> and gradient of ground-water flow beneath the site Field work for ground-water monitoring <br /> was conducted by Emcon Associates (Emcon) of Sacramento, California Emcon was <br /> contracted by ARCO, Emcon subsequently forwarded their field notes and the laboratory <br /> reports to RESNA Data obtained from Emcon is presented in the Appendix to this report <br /> The locations of the monitoring wells are shown on Plate 2 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Environmental work performed at the site has included drilling 20 soil borings onsite and <br /> two borings offsite and installing ten vapor-extraction wells, five ground-water monitoring <br /> wells onsite and two offsite, one air sparge well, and three sparge monitoring points in the <br /> borings at the site Residual hydrocarbons were detected tri soil to 60 feet below grade at <br /> the groundwater interface near the existing tanks, however, gasoline hydrocarbons were not <br /> detected in the offsite soil borings Dissolved hydrocarbons were detected at concentrations <br /> above maximum contaminant levels (MCL's) in water sampled from the five onsite and two <br /> offsite groundwater monitoring wells <br /> 0302kchr <br /> 30003-9 <br />
