April 14, 1993 R
NA
ARCO Service Station No 2130, Stockton, California Working To Restore Nature
WORK IN PROGRESS
RESNA is currently evaluating remedial options for soil and ground water using the results
of air sparging and vapor-extraction testing performed at the site We are also preparing
a Problem Assessment Report
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The ground-water flow direction has consistently been to the southeast since January 1992
The depth to ground-water has fluctuated since the previous quarter TPHg was detected
in samples from the seven wells at concentrations ranging from 67 to 1,800 ppb Benzene
concentrations were detected above the MCL's in wells MW-1 through MW-5 Fecal
coliform bacteria were not detected in the samples from the wells, however, total coliform
bacteria were detected in wells MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, and MW-5
In our opinion, continued quarterly monitoring is warranted We understand that Emcon
will conduct the next quarterly monitoring event in May 1993 We recommend that copies
of this report be forwarded to Mr Michael Infurna of the San Joaquin Public Health
Services, P O. Box 2009, Stockton, California 95201 and Mr James Mangham of the Central
. Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, 3443 Routier Road, Sacramento, California
95827-3098
ig, 0302kchr
30003-9 3
