Working to Restore Nature <br /> Work included the removal and replacement of the underground storage tanks (USTs) and <br /> product lines, drilling 20 soil borings onsite and five borings offsite, installing five onsite and <br /> five offsite groundwater monitoring wells, seven vapor extraction wells, one air sparge well, <br /> and three air-morutoring sparge points, destruction of one monitoring well, characterizing <br /> sediments beneath the site; and collecting and analyzing soil and groundwater samples for <br /> hydrocarbon constituents <br /> 2.0 BA KG ROUND <br /> C <br /> 21 Site Description <br /> I <br /> ARCO Service Station 2130 is on the northeast corner of Hammer Lane and El Dorado <br /> Street in Stockton, California, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1) An aerial <br /> photograph dated August 2, 1963, shows that the site and the area within 1,000 feet of the <br /> site were undeveloped agricultural land An aerial photograph dated December 30, 1973, <br /> shows the land north, east, and south of the site with commercial development, and <br /> undeveloped land west and southwest of the site. According to information supplied by <br /> ARCO, there were four USTs at the site two 4,000-gallon tanks stored unleaded gasoline, <br /> one 6,000-gallon tank stored super unleaded gasoline, and one 10,000-gallon tank stored <br /> unleaded gasoline (Plate 2) During August and September 1993, the four USTs and <br /> product lines were removed and replaced with four new, double wall, 10,000-gallon fiber <br /> glass USTs (Plate 4) <br /> .22 Water-Supply Wells <br /> It is our understanding from City of Stockton personnel that the City of Stockton provides <br /> water and sanitary sewer for the site Based on our search of utility records at the City of <br /> Stockton Department of Public Works, water and sewer lines are located within 50 feet of <br /> �} 30003-7 2 <br /> I <br />
