r <br /> - IiiN■r�ni-� <br /> Working to Restore Nature <br /> 3164 Cold Camp Drive, Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916) 852-6690 <br /> Fax (916) 852-6688 <br /> I <br /> June 8, 1994 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Subject Status Report, First Quarter 1994 <br /> ARCO Service Station 2130 <br /> 7906 North El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr. Carmel- <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company(ARCO), RESNA Industries Inc (RESNA)and <br /> others are conducting an environmental investigation at the subject site (shown on Plate 1) <br /> We have prepared this status report on the work conducted during the first quarter 1994 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Environmental work performed at the site has included drilling 20 soil borings onsite and <br /> five borings offsite and installing ten vapor-extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-10), five <br /> groundwater monitoring wells onsite (MW-1 through MW-5) and five offsite(MW-6 through <br /> MW-10), one air sparge well (AS-1), and three sparge monitoring points (MW-1 through <br /> MW-3) in the borings at the site Because well MW-9 was not constructed properly, the <br /> well was destroyed and another boring was drilled near well MW-9 and converted to a <br /> monitoring well (MW-10) Residual hydrocarbons were detected in soil to 60 feet below <br /> grade at the groundwater interface near the existing tanks, however, gasoline hydrocarbons <br /> were not detected in the offsite soil borings Dissolved hydrocarbons were detected at <br /> concentrations above Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLS) in the five onsite and in two <br /> offsite groundwater monitoring wells, but concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons did not <br /> exceed MCLS in samples from wells MW-8 and MW-10 <br /> During October 1993,RESNA observed Triangle, Inc (Triangle) of Sacramento, California, <br /> excavate trenches and install horizontal piping for the potential remediation system. <br /> SO415ccar/30003-15 <br /> i <br />
