Date May 8, 1998 <br /> ARCO QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT <br /> Facility No 2130 Address 7906 EI Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> ARCO Environmental Engineer Paul Supple — <br /> Consulting Co/Contact Person Pinnacle/Matt Turner <br /> Consultant Project No 20805-114 009 <br /> Primary Agency/Regulatory ID No Mike Infurna, San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER (First 1998): <br /> 1 Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 and MW-10 and <br /> submitted for laboratory analysis <br /> 2 Pinnacle compiled and evaluated groundwater monitoring data <br /> 3 EMCON conducted routine operation and maintenance of the air bubbling system to increase <br /> dissolved oxygen (DO) levels in the wells at the site and, thereby, help to promote biodegradation of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater <br /> 4 Pinnacle shut down the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system in the fourth quarter 1997 due to low <br /> influent soil vapor concentrations and high supplemental fuel costs The system remained down this <br /> quarter due to low hydrocarbon concentrations in the influent soil vapor <br /> WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (Second 1998) <br /> 1 Pinnacle will continue to perform routine quarterly groundwater monitoring on behalf of ARCO The <br /> next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for June 1998 Groundwater samples from wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-7 and MW-10 will be collected and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHG) using U S Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Method 8015, and for <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tent-butyl ether (MTBE) using <br /> USEPA Method 8020 <br /> 2 The SVE system will be pulsed on a periodic basis(once per month, for one week, if warranted) <br /> 3 Pinnacle will continue to operate the air bubbling system to increase DO levels at the site The low <br /> flow system will continue to operate on a continuous basis <br /> Current Prase of Project Remediation <br /> Frequency of Groundwater Sampling All Monitoring Wells= Quarterly <br /> Frequency of Groundwater Monitoring �Ouarterly <br /> I�l Sampling Date March 5, 1998 <br /> SACT TJONAM8051140 9AS-9&pzusmer 1 <br />
