I` DateFebru 9 _ ary 19, 19 8 ARCO QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT Facility No 2130 Address 7906 El Dorado Street, Stockton, California ARCO Environmental Engineer Paul Supple Consulting Co/Contact Person EMCON/Jay_R Johnson Consultant Project No 20805-114 008 Primary Agency/Regulatory ID No Mike Infurna, San Joaquin County Public Health Services WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER (Fourth 1997) 1 EMCON performed routine quarterly groundwater sampling and monitoring 2 EMCON compiled and evaluated groundwater monitoring data 3 EMCON collected air samples from the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system in compliance with the SJVUAPCD Permit-to-Operate 4 EMCON conducted routine operation and maintenance of the remediation system during the first half of the fourth quarter 1997 EMCON shut down the SVE system due to low influent soil vapor concentrations and high supplemental fuel costs The system will be pulsed periodically 5 EMCON monitored the dissolved oxygen (DO) levels in groundwater to evaluate natural biodegradation WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (First 1998); 1 ARCO will continue to perform routine quarterly groundwater monitoring The next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for February 1998 2 EMCON will collect DO and other data to evaluate natural biodegradation at the site 3 The SVE system will continue to be pulsed on a periodic basis (once per month, for one week, if warranted) 4 EMCON will continue to operate the air bubbling system to increase DO levels at the site The low flow system will continue to operate on a continuous basis 5 EMCON will collect and submit air samples for laboratory analyses on a quarterly basis Current Phase of Project Remediation Frequency of Groundwater Sampling Quarterly Frequency of Groundwater Monitoring -Quarterly .
