E1
Date: October 27,2005
Quarter: 3`d Quarter,2005
• The reported results for xylenes and GRO in sample VW-1 and for GRO in sample VW-8 may be
biased low due to a low average percent recovery reported in the associated MS/MSD analysis. '.
e E
• The reported result for benzene in sample VW-8 may be biased high due to a high average percent
recovery reported in the associated MS/MSD analysis.
:' • The elevated reporting limits were the result of dilutions performed by the laboratory in order to
quantitate a target analyte.
R
DISCUSSION:
GRO,benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,total xylenes(BTEX),MtBE, and 1,2-dichlorothane(1,2-DCA)were detected
above Iaboratory reporting limits in groundwater samples collected from site wells this quarter. GRO was detected in
MW-1 for the first time historically. GRO,BTEX and MtBE concentrations in MW-5 increased. GRO,benzene, and
MtBE concentrations in the vapor extraction wells (VW) were generally consistent with historical data with a few
exceptions. GRO, ethylbenzene, and total xylene concentrations in VW-1 and ethylbenzene in VW-3 increased, the
highest historically. ORO and MtBE concentrations in the microsparge (MS) wells were generally consistent with
historical data. Benzene concentrations in MW-3B and MW-2 were detected above laboratory reporting limits, the
highest historically.
"The' average depth to water at the site was approximately 46 feet bgs during this quarter. Groundwater elevations
generally decreased less than one foot relative to the previous sampling event. The inferred direction of groundwater
flow across the site ranged from the east-southeast with an average hydraulic gradient of 0.005ft/ft.
This report is based on data, site conditions, and other information that are generally applicable as of the date of the
report, and the conclusions and recommendations herein are therefore applicable only to that time frame. #
FIGURES
Figure 1 Groundwater Elevation Contours '
Figure 2 Groundwater Analytical Summary
TABLES
Tadle 1 Groundwater Monitoring and Analytical Data
Table 2 Fuel Oxygenates Analytical Data
Table 3 Groundwater Gradient Data
4
APPENDICES
Appendix A Field and Laboratory Procedures
Appendix B Laboratory Analytical Reports,Chain-of-Custody Documentation, and Field Data Sheets
Appendix C GeoTracker Upload Confirmation
s
f K%ft-cesAJ5 BP ARC0102130\Qume,]y1200513 QTR 05%2130 GWMR 3Q05.dm Page 2
l
E
