Advanced
GeoEnvironmenta.j, r'9 -=
10 January 1996 -
of Northern California
AGE-NC Project No 95-0118
Mr. Steve Sasson
San Joaquin County PHS-EHD
P.O. Box 388
Stockton, Ca 95201
Subject: Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test
ELKHORN COUNTRY CLUB
1050 Elkhorn Drive, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Sasson:
In accordance with a request from Mr. Bob Young of the Elkhorn Country Club, Advanced
GeoEnvironmentai, Inc. (AGE)has prepared for the installation of soil vapor extraction wells and the
performance of a soil vapor extraction pilot test at 1050 Elkhorn Drive in Stockton, California(the
site). The pilot test is performed in accordance with requirements of the San Joaquin County Public
Health Services - Environmental health Division (PHS-EHD) and California Code of Regulations
Title 23 guidelines for feasibility evaluations of contaminated underground storage tank (UST) sites.
Soil contamination at the site has been defined by the analytical data from previous investigations and
ground water contamination is defined within the vicinity of the former UST location. The
establishment of two soil vapor extraction wells to a depth of 35 feet, on the northeast side of the
maintenance building, should be adequate to perform the pilot test (see Site Plan).
In addition, the wells would be optimally located for the implementation of a full scale remedial
action, utilizing in-situ soil vapor extraction and in-situ air sparging of the ground water
contaminants. If you have any question or comments regarding this scope of work, contact our office
at (209) 956-0264.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironntental, Inc.
Lo h
William Little
Staff Geologist
cc: Mr. Bob Young
Ms. Elizabeth Thayer - CVRWQCB
1803 West March Lane,Suite A,Stockton,California 95207
Telephone(209)956-0264 FAX(209)956-0700
