Relative Groundwater Elevation and Gradient
The relative elevation of groundwater in each well was calculated by subtracting the
groundwater depth from the surveyed relative casing elevation (Table 1). Groundwater
elevation dropped approximately one foot between September and December 1994.
The groundwater gradient was calculated to be 0.0013 ft/ft directed N 48' E (Figure 3). The
flow direction is still in the easterly direction, however, it has changed from a southerly
' direction to a northerly direction.
k
4.2 Laboratory Evidence of Groundwater Contamination
TPH as gasoline was detected in water samples from MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations
of 860 ppb and 780 ppb, respectively. Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were
detected in samples from MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations ranging from 22 ppb
(ethlybenzene, MW-2) to 180 ppb, (toluene, MW-3). No TPH as gasoline or BTE&X were
' detected in MW-1. The analytical results of the samples are listed in Table 3. The laboratory
report and chain-of-custody are included in Appendix B.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
5.1 Hydrocarbon Impacted Soil
Hydrocarbon impacted soil remains at the site in the area of the former UST excavation.
Y __ G-1.01 Audik ServAea.Enc. 6
f
Mkt..QM&ffln2-94
I _
k
'...A,
