TABLE 3
ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
Elkhorn Country Club
1050 Elkhorn Drive, Stockton, California
(ug/L)
TPH as Benzene Toluene Ethyl- Xylene
Sample ID Gasoline benzene
MW-1/9-2-94 280 ND ND ND ND
MW-1/12-9-94 ND ND ND ND ND
MW-219-2-94 9,500 500 1,600 330 1,500
MW-2112-9-94 860 120 65 22 57
MW-3/9-2-94 1,200 58 230 36 170
MW-3112-9-94 780 40 180 23 140
WL. = parts per billion(ppb)
ND = None Delected
Based upon analytical results of soil samples, it is likely that MW-31s near the edge of the
impacted soil plume.
When assessment of the groundwater has been completed, remedial options for the
impacted soil should be considered.
5.2 Hydrocarbon Impacted Groundwater
Although groundwater flow direction has rotated from southeast to northeast, MW-2
remains downgradient of the former UST excavation. Between September and December
1994, petroleum hydrocarbon concentration in MW-2 decreased from 9,500 ppb to 860 ppb;
hydrocarbons decreased in MW-3 from 1,200 ppb to 780 ppb.
The Iateral extent of the impacted groundwater has not been defined at the site. Therefore,
we recommend the installation of two additional monitoring wells. One well should be
installed north of MW-2; a second well should be installed east of MW-2. A Interim Work
Plan to the installation of the additional monitoring wells is included in Appendix C.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings
were based upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.
