f
r Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2000
`.' ELKHORN COUNTRY CLUB
1050 Elkhorn Drive, Stockton, California
-= 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Bob Young of Elkhorn Cxn
Country Club, Advanced GeoEnvironental, Inc.
(AGE)has prepared this quarterly report of field activities performed during the third quarter of 2000
at 1050 Elkhorn Drive, Stockton, California(the site).
The scope of work included monitoring of a soil vapor extraction blower, collection soil vapor and
soil samples for remediation confirmation and conducting quarterly monitoring of four ground water
>> monitoring wells.
The site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1. Structures and ground water monitoring well
locations on the site are depicted in Figure 2. Site history and findings from previous investigations
and monitoring events at the site are detailed in Corrective Action Plan -27 June 1996 (CAP) and .
in Quarterly Report-December 1996, dated 28 February 1997,prepared by AGE. Historical ground
r-
water monitoring results are included in tables of this report
2.0. PROCEDURES
Monitoring and sampling were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.(CVRW CB) and by the San,Joaquin County Public
Health Services - EnVironniental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for subsurface investigation of
underground storage tank sites and in accordance with the PHS-EHD-approved Remedial Action
Work Plan Addendum for corrective action prepared by AGE, dated 14 January 1998.
=' 2.1. MONITORING OF SVE AND COLLECTION OF SOIL VAPOR SAMPLES
In accordance with the AGE letter dated 21 August.2000, the internal combustion/dual-catalytic
converted soil-vapor extraction unit which had operated at the site, was replaced with an active
vacuum blower capable of extracting approximately 20 cubic feet per minute(cfrn). The blower was
`r installed and began operation on 14 September 2000.,
The system has been monitored monthly for flow rate of extracted soil vapor, measured using a
i Dwyer differential pressure flow meter and organic vapor concentrations in the extracted vapor
== stream entering the blower (influent stream), using an organic vapor meter equipped with a photo-
ionization detector (PID: Thermo Environmental 580A, 10.0eV, calibrated to isobutylene).
Vapor sample was collected on 14 September 2000 and 20 October 2000 from the influent streams
using a Tedlar bag.
Advanced GeoGnvironmental,Inc.
is
r-i
