WELL COMPLETION
F
Soil borings VW3, VW4 and VW5 were completed as soil vapor extraction(SVE)wells numbered .
VW-3,VW-4 and VW-5,respectively. Soil borings IAS3,IAS4 and IASS were completed as in-situ
air-sparging wells numbered IAS-3,IAS-4 and IAS-5,respectively:
The following is a summary of the construction details:
• . Wells VW-3 and VW-4 were completed with 0.02-inch slotted screen installed from depths
of 25 to 35 feet bsg. A filter pack was installed using #3 Lonestar sand from approximately
23 to 35 feet bsg. Bentonite chips were used to make a one-foot transition sea] above the
filter pack. The remaining annular space was backfilled to the surface with portland cement.
A traffic-rated well box (8-inch diameter)was installed over each well, in accordance with
County regulations.
Well VW-5 was completed with 0.02-inch slotted screen installed from depths of 15 to 35
feet bsg.
