Irwin Inc., for
the above referenced site (the report).
The report summarizes the site history, tabulates results of sampling to date including sampling
which was conducted on January 10, 1995, and summarizes the results of depth to water
measurements which have been occurring monthly from August 1994 to January 1995.
At this time PHS/EHD does not have a quarterly monitoring report for the third quarter of 1994.
Sampling did occur during the third quarter of 1994. However to remain in compliance with
Title 23, Article 11, of the California Code of Regulations, the Corrective Action Regulations
(CCR Article 11) a quarterly report shall be submitted every quarter.
The report contains data from sampling which was conducted on September 19, 1994 and
December 15, 1994. The report does not
propose any cleanup actions or a time schedule for implementing the proposed actions. This
information is required in a quarterly monitoring report pursuant to CCR Article 11. You were
informed of this regulation in a letter from PHS/EHD dated August 4, 1994. To remain in
compliance with CCR Article 11 and the quarterly reporting regulations an addendum to this
report shall be submitted to PHS/EHD by March 15, 1995.
Gradient at this site has been confirmed as consistently flowing from the slough towards your
site. Currently none of the wells are in a downgradient position. The downgradient portion of
the plume has not been adequately characterized. A downgradient well shall be installed to
define the lateral extent of the downgradient portion of the plume.
The lateral extent of the plume has been defined in the area of MW-4 and MW-5.
