Box 944212
Sacramento, CA 94244-2120
Attention: Lori Casias
I
R Village-Wesilarina;Site 1b98; Stockton Califamia
Dear Ms. Casias:
Pursuant to my telephone conversation today, Village West Marina hereby notifies you
that we can no longer be responsible for any billing charges by San Joaquin County or
others in respect the above referenced site. The charges incurred from 1/24/94 through
6/7194 were not approved nor authorized by our firm.
As 1 explained to you, we have diligently tried to work with local governments in
removing fuel tanks installed on our property, replacing them with new double wall tanks,
and cleaning up to the best of our ability. it seems now that every time we complete
another phase of the clean up, San Joaquin County asks for more, Our consultants have
told us that this is a minor contamination problem and actually is less than the
contamination that exists on most surface streets that are paved with asphalt and have
automobile traffic. it may be that officials in San Joaquin County should spend more of
their time to solving actual problems in our society such as crime, hunger, homelessness
and unemployment.
Very tIyly yours,
Dwighx.
