�r-fes•, PROJECT STATUS REPORT OF GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> FIRST QUARTER - 1997 <br /> Village West Marina <br /> 6649 Embarcadero Drive <br /> Stockton, California 95209 <br /> k.` <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This Proiect Status Report of Groundwater Monitoring was conducted in accordance <br /> with the directives of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental <br /> Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD). The report presents a history of site work, monitoring <br /> a well sounding data, and laboratory analytical results for groundwater samples collected <br /> on January 22, 1997. <br /> Site Setting <br /> The property is located at 6649 Embarcadero Drive in Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> and is situated on the delta levee of the section of the San Joaquin River called <br /> Fourteen-Mile Slough as shown on the Site Vicinity Map, Figure 1. The site includes a <br /> - restaurant and an operational marina with the capacity to dispense fuel to pleasure <br /> craft. The adjacent properties consist of other commercial businesses and <br /> condominium residences. <br /> Geologic Setting <br /> The site is located within the delta region of the San Joaquin River on Fourteen-Mile <br /> Slough. The average surface elevation is about nine feet above Mean Sea Level <br /> (MSL). The slough is situated immediately to the west of the project area. <br /> The lithology encountered during the drilling of soil borings and HydropunchesT11 (prior <br /> to completion as monitoring wells MW-4 through MW-8) consisted predominantly of <br /> 1 black-gray, micaceous, organic, clayey silt to the total depth in each well of <br /> approximately 30 feet below surface grade (bsg). Groundwater was encountered in <br /> the five, on-site monitoring wells during the October 29, 1996 monitoring activity at an <br /> average depth of 15.14 feet below the tops of the well casings. <br /> DAYNE L.
