By letter dated March 1, 2006, EHD approved the ad,-ancernent of
two soil borings at this property to fifteen feet below surface grade (bs-) to investigate
'D 1 -1
soil and groundwater contamination east of the former underground storage tank site.
ol
CVRWQCB supports EHD's decision to waive installation of the offsite borings,
previously approved by EHD, at this time. Please proceed with the advancement of the
two onsite soil borings to fifteen feet I)sg to dtlinoatc soil and groundwater contamination
lateraliv to the southwest and south. One borehole will be located approximately SO feet
southwest of extraction well EW-1, and one borehole will be located approximately 80
feet south of EW-1.
By letter dated March 1, 2006, EHD recommended that one additional boring, located
baffivay between the former UST and monitoring well MW-5, be advanced to
approximately thirty feet hs_g, or deeper if necessary, to delineate the vertical extent of
impacted mpacted soil at this site. Please submit a work plan to EHD by May 31- 2007, that will
assess the potential for vapor intrusion into the existing onsite building only, or provide a
rational, with technical support, for discounting vapor intrusion into the building as a
potential hazard for this site.
