w ,f
_ 27 January 2004
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0360
P5 at concentrations as high as 3,400 mg/kg(P4-10). Fuel oxygenated compounds were not
detected at or above laboratory reporting limits.
Grab ground water samples were collected from borings P I through P8, and were submitted
to a DHS-certified laboratory for analysis as noted above. TPH-g was detected in the ground
T water samples collected from P1,P2, and P4 at concentrations of 3,100 µg/I, 1,300 µg/1,and
2,100 µg11,respectively. TPH-d was detected in the ground water samples collected from P 1
through P8 at concentrations as high as 2,900,000 µgd (P4). BTEX compounds were
detected in the ground water samples collected from P1 and P4 at concentrations ranging as
high as 5.5 µg/l; dissolved benzene was detected at concentrations as high as 3.7 µg/l (PI}.
_ Dissolved MTBE was detected in the ground water sample from P4 at a concentration of 8.2
µg1l utilizing EPA Method 8020 and confirmed at a concentration of 7.6 4g/1 utilizing EPA
Method 8260. No other fuel oxygenated compounds were detected at or above laboratory
reporting limits during the laboratory analysis of the ground water samples.Analytical results
of soil samples are summarized in Table 2. Analytical results of ground water samples are
summarized in Table 3. Field procedures and sample results were outlined in AGE's
rt Preliminai-v Investigation and Evaluation Report, dated 21 September 2000.
• 31 Januai:v 2002 - six soil borings were advanced at the site. Pilot borings MW-1 through
MW-5 were completed as ground water monitoring wells. Monitoring wells MW-1,MW-3,
MW-4, and MW-5 were completed using two-inch diameter PVC casing with 0.020-inch
slotted screens installed from approximately 5 feet to 20 feet bsg. MW-2 was completed in
a similar manner and screened from approximately 30 feet to 35 feet bsg. Blank casing was
extended from the top of the screen interval to the surface of each well. Pilot boring EW-1
was completed as a ground water extraction well using six-inch diameter PVC casing with
_ 0.020-inch slotted screen installed from approximately 5 feet to 20 feet bsg. Blank casing
was installed from the top of the screen interval to surface grade.
TPH-g was detected in the soil samples collected from MW-1, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5 and
EW-1 at 10 feet bsg at concentrations as high as 160 mg/kg. TPH-d was detected in the same
samples, with the exception of EW-1, at concentrations as high as 3,800 mg/kg. No other
analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the soil samples analyzed.
Analytical results of soil samples are summarized in Table 2. Analytical results of ground
water samples are summarized in Table 5. Field procedures and sample results were outlined
in AGE's Monitoring Well Installation and QuarterIv Report-First Quarter 2002, dated 03
June 2002.
• 13 May 2002 - ground water levels were measured in monitoring wells MW-1 through
MW-5 and extraction well EW-1 and approximately ranged from 7.89 feet to 9.42 feet below
the tops of the well casings;ground water flow direction at the site was inferred to be flowing
towards the east-southeast at an approximate gradient of 0.0006 feet/feet. TPH-g was
— Advanced GcoEtiviroil mental,Inc.
