Murphy Trucking) <br /> 355 Enterprise Place,Tracy, California <br /> Dear Ms. McCartney: <br /> At the request of Mr. Monty Warren and as directed by the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (EHD),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work plan <br /> for the destruction of ground water wells at 355 Enterprise Place, Tracy, California. The location <br /> of the site is illustrated in Figure 1; site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> Five ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-5) and one ground water extraction well <br /> (EW-1)will be sounded for total depth and checked for integrity and any obstruction found in the <br /> well will be removed. Well boxes and caps will be removed to expose the casing. Wells will be <br /> destroyed by complete drilling out the wells to total depth,in accordance with the EHD Standards <br /> For Well Construction and Destruction. <br /> '�w I <br /> Procedures are outlined below. Wells will be drilled-out to their total depth utilizing 8-inch or 10- <br /> inch diameter hollow-stern augers. All original well construction materials will be removed <br /> (including well casing, screen, filter pack, and annular seal) to ensure no residual contamination is <br /> sealed within the abandoned borehole. The remaining borehole will then be backfilled to surface <br /> grade with neat cement and covered with native dirt and rock. us-e +(d-yn', e <br /> Rinseate and soil cuttings generated during over-drilling activities will be containerized in properly <br /> labeled Department of Transportation-approved 55-gallon drums and stored on-site for disposal, in <br /> an area lacking public access. <br /> A well destruction permit will be obtained from the EHD;permits will be submitted with this work <br /> plan.In addition,a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with the Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational <br /> 837 Shaw Road, Stockton,California 95215 <br /> Telephone (209) 467-1606 Fax (209)467-1118 <br />
