f1
A
Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2003
ENTERPRISE INVESTMENTS (Former J.B. Murphy Trucking)
355 Enterprise Place, Tracy, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Monty Warren of Enterprise Investments,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
I (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 355 Enterprise Place, Tracy, California. The site and
the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1. Structures, boring and well locations are illustrated
on Figure 2. Site background information is provided in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
Five ground water monitoring wells (MW 1 through MW5) and one ground water extraction well
(EW l)were monitored and sampled on 30 May 2003.Field work was performed in accordance with
'= guidelinesissued bythe Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the
investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites.
2.1. WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the wells relative to
the tops of the well casings. The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these
data(Table 1).
After recording water level measurements, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW I,
MW3, MW4 and MW5 of standing water and a Watera Hydrolift pump was used to purge wells
MW2 and EWl of standing water.Approximately 6 gallons ofwater(a minimum of 3 casing water-
volumes per well)were removed from MW 1,MW3,MW4 and MW5, approximately 13 gallons of
water were removed from MW2 and approximately 56 gallons of water were removed from EW 1.
Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging
using an Oakton water analyzer. Purged ground water was containerized in properly labeled
DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site. Field sheets and data are
included in Appendix B.
2.2. COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from purged wells MWI, MW3, MW4 and MW5 using new
disposable plastic bailers while samples from wells MW2 and EW 1 were collected with a hose bailer
after allowing all wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume. Each
water sample was transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing 0.5
ml 18%hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative and into one 1-liter amber bottle without sample
Advanced GeoEavironmental,Inc.
