16 September 2003
S AGE-NC Project No. 97-0360
report(CTEL Pro'ect No. CT214-0306002),QA/QC report and chain-of-custody form are included
_.i in.Appendix C.
-- 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site,AGE concludes:
• Ground water flow at the site on 30 May 2003 was inferred to be toward the north at a
A. gradient of 0.0006 feet/feet.The gradient and direction has remained relatively stable for the
previous four quarters.
j TPH-g and TPH-d concentrations decreased in well EW 1 to non detect this quarter, the first
time both compounds have not been detected since groundwater monitoring was initiated in
February 2002. No other hydrocarbon compounds or fuel oxygenates were detected this
quarter, or have been since ground water monitoring began.(Table 2).
• With the exception of TPH-d,the Iateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground.
water has been defined in all directions. TPH-d is not completely defined east of the former
UST area.
• The vertical extent of hydrocarbons-impacted ground water has been defined and does not
extend below 35 feet bsg.
- -i
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings ofthe environmental activities recounted in this report,AGE recommends site
- closure and abandonment of the well on the site.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.Evaluation of the hydrogeologic conditions
at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from a limited number of available data
points(i.e.,ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points.
No other warranty, expressed or implied,is made as to the professional interpretations, opinions and
recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeaEavironmental,Inc.
