f 09 March 2006
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0360
The ground water flow direction was inferred using ground water elevation data from the monitoring
wells on-site. Well MW-2 was not used to determine ground water flow direction or gradient
because it is screened at a deeper interval than the other wells. Ground water was inferred to be
- flowing northeast to northwest toward a shallow depression in the potentiometric surface near
i extraction well EW-1 under a calculated hydraulic gradient of approximately 0.001 foot/foot(ft/ft).
I-.
Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as measured on 25 November 2005.
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
== No analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in any of the ground water samples
collected and analyzed this quarter. The analytical results of ground water samples are summarized
in Table 2. The laboratory report (CTEL Project No. CT214-0511174), quality assurance/quality
control (QA/QC) reports, and chain of custody form are included in Appendix D. Documents
confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water
>'r measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix E.
i
`- 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on data collected from the site this quarter, AGE concludes:
• At the time of the November 2005 sampling event, depths to ground water in wells MW-1
-., through MW-5 and EW-1 ranged from 10.20 feet to 11.78 feet below the well heads.
Average ground water elevation at the site (excluding MW-2)was approximately 0.92 feet
above MSL. Ground water elevations at the site decreased an average of 3.07 feet since the
1.._ September 2005 monitoring event.
• On 25 November 2005, ground water was inferred to be flowing northeast to northwest
toward a shallow depression in the potentiometric surface near extraction well EW-1 under
a calculated hydraulic gradient of approximately 0.001 ft/ft The gradient this quarter varies
slightly compared to those measured in previous quarters;however, the gradient is so shallow
that slight variations in ground water elevation can cause significant changes in the ground
water flow direction.
• TPH-g and TPH-d concentrations in well EW-1 remain non-detect this quarter. No other
hydrocarbon compounds or fuel oxygenates were detected in well EW-1 this quarter,or have
been since ground water monitoring began.(Table 2).
No analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5 this quarter.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
i
