MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO.R5-2003-0141 -3- <br /> CALIFORNIA NATURAL PRODUCTS <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Sampling and <br /> Constituents Units Soil Profile Reporting Frequency <br /> Soil pH pH Standard' Annually, <br /> Volatile Solids % Total Weight Standard' Annually, <br /> Cation Exchange Capacity meq/100 g Standard' Annually, <br /> Nitrate (as N) mg/kg Standard' Annually, <br /> Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen mg/kg Standard' Annually, <br /> ' Samples shall be collected at 0.5 feet, 3 feet, and 6 feet in depth. <br /> , Samples shall be collected in September. <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Prior to completion and/or sampling of any groundwater monitoring wells, the Discharger shall submit <br /> plans and specifications to the Board for review and approval. Once installed, all new wells shall be <br /> added to the MRP and shall be sampled and analyzed according to the schedule below. <br /> Prior to sampling or purging, equilibrated groundwater elevations shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 <br /> foot. Depth to groundwater measurements shall be collected from all wells on the same day. The wells <br /> shall be purged at least three well volumes until pH and electrical conductivity have stabilized. Sample <br /> collection shall follow standard EPA analytical method protocols. Groundwater monitoring shall <br /> include, at a minimum, the following: <br /> Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituent Units Type of Sample Frequency Frequency <br /> Depth to Groundwater 0.01 ft,_ Measurement Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Groundwater Elevation 0.01 ft Calculated Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Gradient ft/ft Calculated Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Gradient Direction Degrees Calculated Quarterly Quarterly <br /> pH S.U. Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Nitrate as Nitrogen mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Ammonia as Nitrogen mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Coliform Organisms WN/100 ml Grab Quarterl� Quarterl� <br /> Trihalomethanes' n/l Grab Annual Annual <br /> ' Analysis for this parameter shall be performed using EPA Method 8010 or equivalent. <br /> 2 Annual samples shall be collected in the first quarter(January-March)sampling event. <br /> REPORTING <br /> In reporting monitoring data, the Discharger shall arrange the data in tabular form so that the date, <br /> sample type (e.g., effluent, groundwater, etc.), and reported analytical result for each sample are readily <br /> discernible. The data shall be summarized in such a manner to clearly illustrate compliance with waste <br /> discharge requirements and spatial or temporal trends, as applicable.
