For each application site, the following parameters shall be calculated and <br /> reported in the monthly monitoring reports. <br /> Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency Freauencv <br /> Application Area acres Measured Daily Monthly <br /> Hydraulic Loading Rate inches/acre-month Calculated Daily Monthly <br /> BODS Loading Rate lbs/acre-day Calculated' Weekly Monthly <br /> Total Nitrogen Loading Rate lbs/acre-month Calculated' Monthly Monthly <br /> Cumulative Nitrogen Load lbs/acre-year Calculated - Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids lbs/acre-year Calculated Monthly Monthly <br /> Runoff Visual Inspection Observation Daily' -Monthly <br /> BODS loading shall be calculated using the daily applied volume of wastewater, estimated daily <br /> application area, and the most recent results of effluent BODS. <br /> ' Total nitrogen loading rates shall be calculated using the daily applied volume of wastewater, <br /> estimated daily application area, and the most recent results of total nitrogen. <br /> ' Runoff monitoring of the landscaped areas shall be performed when irrigation of the areas <br /> occurs. Frequency of monitoring during the day shall be sufficient to determine if runoff is <br /> occurring. <br /> In addition, the Discharger shall maintain a log of discharges to the land application area and landscaped <br /> area. Observations shall be noted and shall record which check is receiving wastewater, observations of <br /> ponding water, soil clogging, odors, insects, or other potential nuisance conditions. The notations shall <br /> also document any corrective actions taken. A copy of the notations recorded each month shall be <br /> submitted along with monthly monitoring reports. <br /> LAND APPLICATION AREA SOILS MONITORING <br /> The Discharger shall establish,with concurrence of Board staff, four soil profile monitoring locations <br /> and one representative background location(i.e., in an area that historically has not received process <br /> wastewater) in both the 17.6 and 16.0 acre land application areas. The samples shall be collected and <br /> analyzed for at least the following constituents, and at the following frequency: <br /> Sampling and <br /> Constituents Units Soil Profile Reporting Frequency <br /> Soil pH pH Standard' Annually' <br /> Volatile Solids %Total Weight Standard' Annually' <br />
