In order to respond <br /> to those comments and to the concerns of the affected industries, the scope of the proposed General Order <br /> has been substantially narrowed to regulate only discharges of concrete wastewater. Accordingly,the <br /> order has been retitled as General Waste Discharge Requirements For Temporary Storage And/Or <br /> Recycling Of Concrete Wastewater In Fully Enclosed Units Within The Central Valley Region. This letter <br /> transmits staff s response to comments and the revised General Order for public review and comment. <br /> Any comments or recommendations you may have concerning the tentative General Order should be <br /> submitted to this office by 20 May 2005 in order for us to give them full consideration prior to the <br /> 23/24 June 2005 meeting of the Regional Board. <br /> In order to conserve paper and reduce mailing costs, copies of the General Order and Response to <br /> Comments will not be mailed. Interested parties are advised that the full text of the order and Response to <br /> Comments is available on the Regional Board's web site at <br /> http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/tentative/index.html#other. Anyone without access to the <br /> Internet who needs a paper copy of the order can obtain one by calling Regional Board staff. <br /> In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (Title 14 CCR, Section 15162), the Draft <br /> Initial Study and Negative Declaration do not need to be revised or recirculated. These documents will <br /> continue to be available on the Regional Board's website at the above address. <br /> General Response to Comments on the General Order <br /> Many of the comments staff received indicated confusion about the intent of the General Order.
