The following items are <br />required to be inspected at least daily: <br />1, overfill/spill control equipment; <br />2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br />3. data gathered from monitoring and leak -detection equipment; <br />4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br />hazardous waste; <br />5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br />Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br />Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />512 <br />CCR 66265.192(h) Failure to obtain an assessment or reassessment of a hazardous waste tank system. <br />A hazardous waste assessment was not seen on site for the used oil tank (500 gallons) and the used antifreeze <br />tank (200 gallons). A tank assessment is required to be done on the hazardous waste tanks mentioned above. <br />Immediately submit a copy of the tank assessment to the environmental health department for review. If one is not <br />found, get a tank assessment done on the above ground storage tanks and submit a copy to the environmental <br />health department for review. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />One 5 gallon black plastic bucket containing metal shavings/fine powder was observed with an accumulation start <br />date of 10-27-2017. Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on <br />site up to 90 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest <br />and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />One 55 gallon black steel drum containing used absorbent and one 15 gallon black steel drum containing used <br />gasoline were observed missing the accumulation start date. <br />Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br />hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
