Contact the fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for applicable <br /> permits. <br /> 2. The contractor shall be licensed by the Contractors Licensing Board. <br /> 3. Submit employee training certification from the manufacturer of the piping prior to commencing <br /> installation. <br /> 4. Any changes shall be submitted to EHD for approval prior to commencing work. All new submittals <br /> supersede the previous ones. <br /> 5. Soil sampling for the stockpiles will be 2 samples every 50 feet with not more than 2 samples composited. <br /> 6. Both primary and secondary pipes shall bear a UL label. <br /> 7. All pipe fittings and connections shall bear a UL label. <br /> 8. All corrodible UST components (bolts, clamps, etc.) in contact with the backfill shall be protected from <br /> corrosion in an approved manner and witnessed by the EHD inspector prior to backfilling. <br /> 9. A new monitoring and response plan shall be submitted to EHD prior to the final inspection. <br /> 10. All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible/visual alarm. <br /> 11. The owner or operator shall submit documentation stating which overfill prevention mechanism is to be <br /> utilized at this site according to California Code of Regulations (CCR) 2635(b)(2) prior to the final <br /> inspection. <br /> 12. All decontaminated piping, soil, or any other contaminated solid waste shall have prior approval from <br /> Forward Landfill for disposal. <br /> 13. An accurate and drawn to scale "As-built" plan must be submitted to EHD prior to scheduling a final <br /> inspection. <br /> 14. All testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, CCR section 2635 and section 2636. <br /> 15. After installation, but prior to the UST system being placed into service, all lines and tanks shall be tested <br /> for tightness in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines by a licensed tank tester and results submitted <br /> to EHD prior to the final inspection. <br /> 16. The secondary containment system shall be tested upon installation, 6 months after installation, and <br /> every 36 months thereafter. If the piping cannot pass the above-mentioned tests it must be replaced with <br /> piping that can, according to California Health & Safety Code Section 25291 which states that every <br /> underground storage tank shall be designed and constructed to provide primary and secondary levels of <br /> containment of hazardous substances stored in it. <br /> 17.
