• Thirty -Year Warranty' - With over 30 years proven performance in the marketplace, UL/ULC Listed RED THREAD IIA pipe, fittings and adhesive carry a 30 -year warranty. The product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship -and against internal and external corrosion -when used for underground transportation of fuels. • Outstanding Corrosion Resistance - UL/ULC Listed RED THREAD IIA pipe resists internal and external corrosion from hazardous soils, fuels and other corrosive fluids. The internal and external corrosion is verified by full immersion testing (I.D. and O.D.) of the fiberglass systems. Full immersion testing is not required by UL 971 for flexible systems. In addition, RED THREAD IIA fiberglass pipe is not affected by microbial attack. • Exceptional Flow Characteristics - RED THREAD IIA pipe has the largest I.D. in the fueling industry -allowing you to sell twice the fuel per foot than 2.235" any 1'f" fI D --.- flexible product on the market. What that means to you is that you can get twice the flow in a 2" RED THREAD IIA product versus an 11h" flexible product. Three-inch RED THREAD IIA fiberglass pipe has a nominal 3.360" I.D.—much larger than 3" flexible systems. Fiberglass fittings create minimal pressure loss, unlike most flexible fittings. - Quality Assurance - RED THREAD IIA fiberglass piping undergoes constant testing to meet the high quality standards established by Smith Fibercast. These quality assurance procedures exceed the minimum test requirements of Underwriters Laboratories. All UL/ULC Listed RED THREAD IIA molded fittings are 100 percent hydrostatically tested per UL/ULC requirements. Also, Smith Fibercast 100% prooftests all piping, which exceeds UL requirements. Secondary containment fittings are also tested in accordance with standards approved by UL/ULC. • Permeability - RED THREAD IIA primary piping exceeds current UL allowable permeability by 95%. UL 971 allows 4 grams/m2/day for primary piping. That amount correlates to 0.16 gallons per 100 feet in 30 days in a 2 -inch I.D. primary pipe. RED THREAD IIA secondary containment piping exceeds the current UL allowable permeability by 99.2%. The allowable permeability by UL 971 for secondary piping is 24 grams/m2/day. That amount correlates to 1.0+ gallons per 200 feet in 30 days in a -2-inch I.D. secondary pipe. • Easy -to -Install Containment Fittings - Female threaded inserts are factory installed in one-half of the two-piece containment fitting. Companion bolts are shipped with each fitting. Simply apply adhesive, drop the bolt in, tighten... and the joint is complete.
