Earthwork performed during this
report period consisted of backfilling the voids left after removal of three 500 gallon gasoline
tanks.
An excavation 10 feet deep and 20 feet square was excavated in the southeast corner of the
site. Three 500 gallon gasoline tanks were removed from the base of the excavation. The
excavation was backfilled with imported sand and then imported recycled baserock. The fill was
moisture conditioned, placed in thin lifts and compacted with a sheepsfoot wheel attached to a
backhoe.
In-place density tests were randomly taken as the fill was placed. Our test results indicate the fill
placed in the excavation was compacted to at least 90 percent relative compaction. The fill
placed in the top 2 feet of the excavation was compacted to at least 95 percent relative
compaction.
Very truly yours,
DEES & ASSOCIATES, INC.
^ oQ,;koFESSlpy9
Rebecca L.
