JOSEPH & ROSANNA PANETTA JUN 2 1 2006
PO BOX 1072
SAN RAMON CA 94583
RE: former Tracy Diner Site Code: RO#0727
95W. 111h Street APN: 23313024
Tracy, CA 95376 CUF Claim #: 017963
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Quarterly Report—
First Quarter 2006 and has the following comments.
The ground water sampling conducted on February 26, 2006 included laboratory analytical data
from five of the six monitoring wells at this site. MW -8 was the only well with petroleum
constituents detected in the ground water samples. MW -5 was not sampled and reported as
inaccessible.
Recommendations included in the report indicated that the site should be closed and a No
Further Action determination be made.
Ground water samples from the previous quarterly event indicated that all of the wells contained
petroleum constituents and some were above the maximum contaminant level (MCL).
After the quarterly monitoring event for the second quarter 2006 has been conducted and the
ground water from ALL of the monitoring wells indicates that the ground water contamination is
declining, submittal of a Request for Closure Report may be appropriate. Please use the Tri -
Regional Guidelines — Appendix A — Reports (16 April 2004) No Further Action Required
Documentation for report requirements.
EHD will be present at the second quarter 2006 monitoring and sampling event. Please call EHD
with no less than two working days notice for this appointment. Please take adequate steps to
ensure ALL of the monitoring wells are accessible for sampling. Reports for closure can not be
completely reviewed with missing well/ground water data and the event must be repeated in order
for EHD to concur with a request for closure.
You may call Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 to schedule your appointment or if you have
questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health a art e
Michael J.
