This will
place CP on the SWRCB's LUFT list for this site:
You should line up your consultant to get there to do what it takes to start reviewing the site's
investigative/quarterly reports on Geotracker (Global lD# T060774231 1). The sooner they get up to speed, the
sooner they can turn in a work plan in case another one is needed soon.
strongly recommend you or your consultant contact the current landowner and his consultant to Maximize clarity
and understanding of their intentions and minimize duplication of work and delays in completing the field work and
report submittals.
I have recently approved a work plan for soil borings offsite to the west to support "offsite migration" conclusions
the current RP insists is happening. This plan is for a TWO phase approach. First phase, soil borings in Adams
and very near the former Chevron site to the west is done. Based on the data from these borings, additional
monitoring wells are to be placed to provide repeatable gw samples in phase two, for which a date has NOT been
set. CP could step in after conferring with the current RP and help with or•place the wells. Money is a problem for
the current RP now, even though he is qualified to continue to receive reimbursement from the CUF.
If the findings support offsite, upgradient gw sources migrating onto this site, the closure request for this site may
be in order since I would not typically require this site to clean up someone else's problem: It is possible the
offsite source area to the west may return to the UST -LOP for the continued investigation/remediation I would
require. If so, some of the existing wells at this CP site may need to become responsibility ofthe former Chevron
site across the street as your site qualifies for NFA.
All of these things need to be addressed. Mr. Joe Panetta, the current landowner and RP for this site is VERY
anxious to progress to NFA. Being on the same page as him could prove difficult, but helpful in completing the
sites' investigation/need to remediate and eventual NFA.
Please ensure that delays towards this goal are minimized..
Mr Panetta can be reached at (925) 640 -5580 -
Mr. Panetta's consultant, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Mr. Robert Marty can be reached at (209) 467-1006.
From: Hetrick, Eric G [mailto:Eric.G.Hetrick@conocophillips.com]
Sent: Wednesday, October 03, 2007 1:56 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE: 33 W 11th street and Adams st, tracy CA
Thanks Mike.
