' 14 October 2004
AGE-NC Project No 03-1055
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
' • TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in the soil sample collected from boring MW6-15H at
concentrations of 3 5 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) and 37 mg/kg, respectively
' • BTEX, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, and EDB were not detected at or
above laboratory reporting limits in any of the analyzed soil samples
' • The vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil is defined in borings MW-6 and
MW-7, as hydrocarbon contamination was not detected below 15 feet bsg or at 20 feet bsg
in the indicated borings
' • The lateral extent of soil contamination is defined in the east by boring MW-6, in the north
by bonng MW-5, and in the south by boring MW-1 The lateral extent of soil contamination
' is not yet defined to the west of the site
• Neither TPH-g nor TPH-d were detected in ground water samples collected during this
quarterly monitoring event
• No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the soil or ground
water samples analyzed
I
' 5A. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report,AGE recommends the
I continuation of the quarterly monitoring program, the next monitoring event should be performed
in November 2004
6.0. LIMITATIONS
IOur professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the geo logic/hydrogeo logic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from a limited number of
available data points(soil and ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
interpretations, opinions, and recommendations contained in this report
i
IAdvanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
