Interim Soil Excavation and Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2000 <br /> • Former Tracy Diner <br /> 95 West 11" Street, Tracy, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Doug Murray of Harley Murray, Inc Profit Sharing Trust, et al , Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this preliminary site assessment and Interim <br />' remediation report for the property located at 95 West 11`h Street, Tracy, California (site) The <br /> location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site is depicted in Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work included the excavation and characterization of hydrocarbon impacted soil from <br /> the underground storage tank (UST) dispenser formerly located on the western portion of the <br /> property and installation and sampling of five ground water monitoring wells The objective of the <br /> interim remediation was to remove hydrocarbon-impacted soil from the site and the monitoring wells <br /> was to monitoring the dissolved hydrocarbon-impact beneath the site <br />' This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established in Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional <br />' Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A - Reports) for the subsurface investigation of <br /> underground storage tank(UST) sites <br /> lie 2.0. BACKGROUND <br />' The site is located in a business/residential area of central Tracy, California The site is situated on <br /> the northeast corner of the intersection of West 11`h Street and Adams Street, in an area of low <br /> topographic relief, at an elevation of approximately 18 feet above mean sea level (Figure 1), Tracy <br />' Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1958, photo revised 1976 <br />' 21 SITE DESCRIPTION AND USE <br />' The property is currently developed with one building that was formerly occupied by Tracy Diner, <br /> a restaurant facility A gasoline service station was also reportedly located on the property for <br /> approximately thirty years <br /> 2 2 REGIONAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br />' The site is located within the northern San Joaquin Valley which comprises part of the Great Valley <br /> geomorphic province of California The San Joaquin Valley is formed by the Great Valley <br />' geosyncline, which is a large, elongate, northwest-trending asymmetrical structural trough (basin) <br /> It is bordered by the Coast Ranges to the west, the Klamath Mountains and Cascade Range to the <br /> north, and the Sierra Nevada to the east This trough has been filled with sediments derived from <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
