08 September 2009
AGE -NC Project No. 03-1055
between 12 feet and 15 feet bsg and deeper (Figures 7 through 9);and 3) the subject site
building was built on 2 inches of compacted clean sand over 6 millimeter vapor barrier over
6 inches of clean, free -draining crushed rock (according to the supplied building plans).
AGE concludes that petroleum hydrocarbons remaining beneath the site appear to pose
minimal risk to human health as the exposure route to contamination is not readily complete
(deep soil impact) and no known beneficial use of shallow impacted ground water
down -gradient from the site.
8.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected from this site, AGE recommends the following:
• No further subsurface investigation at this time. The petroleum hydrocarbon -impacted soil
and ground water associated with the former Tracy Diner site unauthorized release has been
adequately assessed and remediated.
• Consideration of the facility for closure as a low risk ground water site.
• Destruction of monitoring wells in accordance with applicable regulations as part of the site
closure preparations.
9.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from
a limited number of available data points (i.e. monitoring well ground water samples, grab ground
water samples, and soil samples), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points.
No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained
in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvlron mental, Inc.
