Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> Former CHEVRON PROPERTY <br /> 103 West Eleventh Street, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Antony Vu, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 103 West Eleventh Street,Tracy, <br /> California(the site). The work is being performed as part of due diligence for a potential property <br /> transfer.The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1.A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)for the procurement of a soil boring permit,and is in accordance with Appendix <br /> A to Tri-Regional Recommendations -Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank <br /> (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a business district of central Tracy, California. The site is situated at the <br /> intersection of West Eleventh Street and Adams Street, in an area of low topographic relief. The <br /> elevation at the site is approximately 18 feet above mean sea level(Figure 1).The prominent features <br /> on the subject property are depicted in Figure 2. <br /> 2.1. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION <br /> The following information was obtained from review of public records for the subject property: <br /> • On 04 December 1991, Chevron completed and submitted an unauthorized release(UAR) <br /> for the subject property. On 08 January 1992, one waste oil UST was removed from the <br /> northern portion of the site; significant petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil and ground <br /> water was reported. On 10 January 1992, the site was placed in San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department's (EHD)local oversight program(LOP) and a directive <br /> was issued for further site assessment. <br /> • On 08 and 09 July 1993, eight USTs were removed from the subject property: two 10,000 <br /> gallon gasoline USTs and one 5,000 gallon gasoline UST, all located in a common <br /> excavation. Five additional USTs of undocumented size and unknown petroleum product <br /> content were discovered and removed east of the initial excavation. Significant petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon contamination was encountered during the UST removals and the excavations <br /> were expanded to remove excess contaminated soil.Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified <br /> Advanced GmEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
