(GR) abandon the five <br /> groundwater monitoring wells at the subject site. A letter Work Plan, completed well abandonment <br /> application, and a check for $60.00 to cover the application fee are attached. Per our telephone <br /> conversation this morning, after removing the upper 3 feet of casing, the well boring will be <br /> backfilled with soil material. An encroachment permit from the City of Tracy for the off-site wells <br /> is not included in this application package, but will be obtained prior to conducting the work, and will <br /> be on-site during the well destruction activities. Water displaced from the off-site wells during <br /> placement of the neat cement will be contained and removed from the site along with any decors water <br /> generated. <br /> Your prompt approval of this application would be appreciated.
