Ms Tammy Hodge CAMB RIA <br /> November 1, 1996 <br /> Impacts from Adjacent Releases <br /> No off-site sources have been identified A Vista Environmental Information Database identified UST release <br /> sites within a'/z-tile radius(Attachment F) This report does not indicate any up gradient releases within 500 <br /> ft of the Chevron site Also,the on site ground water analytic data does not suggest any impacts from off site <br /> sources <br /> Area Well Survey <br /> None of the available files contain information regarding wells within a half a mile radius of the site <br /> REMEDIAL ACTIONS CONDUCTED ' <br /> i <br /> Source Area Removal <br /> Tank and Piping Removal The waste oil tank was removed in 1992 and the gasoline storage tanks were <br />• removed in 1993, eliminating them as potential hydrocarbon sources <br /> Soil Excavation and Disposal An additional 1 5 ft of soil was over-excavated below the 10 ft original <br /> excavation depth during the waste oil tank removal No further soil was excavated since ground water was <br /> encountered at 12 ft depth About 40 cubic yards of soil generated during the waste oil tank removal was <br /> characterized and disposed at the Forward Landfill in Stockton, California The gasoline tank pit was also <br /> over-excavated an additional 1 5 ft to a total depth of 11 5 ft Soil was also excavated honzontally beneath <br /> the sidewalks at the northern and southern ends of the gasoline tank pit near Adams Street About 684 cubic <br /> yards of soil removed from underneath and around these tanks were disposed at BFI landfill in Livermore, <br /> California <br /> Additional Remedial Actions <br /> No engineered remediation has occurred at this site However, since the bulk of the hydrocarbon-beanng soil <br /> has been excavated and hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water are low and stable, active remediation <br /> is not necessary <br /> 6 <br />
