JUN-06-2001 13:23 (0=1NBRIA INC. 1707 935 6649 P.02/06
CAM A
June 6, 2001
Ms. Margaret Lagorio
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
304 E. Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Shell and Texaco Sites in San Joaquin County Local Oversight Program
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc. (Cambria) prepared this letter on behalf of Equiva
Services LLC (Equiva) in response to your May 2, 2001 letter proposing a meeting to review
and discuss the status of Shell and Texaco environmental cases in San Joaquin County. Per
your suggested date.(June 19, 2001 at 10:00 a.m.), Equiva and Cambria would like to meet
with you and your staff at your office. Daren Petryna of Equiva and Joe Neely and Aubrey
Cool of Cambria will be attending the meeting.
In addition to the list of sites included in your May 2, 2001 letter, we would like to discuss
two other sites located in San Joaquin County: the former Shell service station at 141 North
El Dorado, Stockton and the Shell-branded (Independent) service station at 420 West
Kettleman Lane, Lodi. This brings the list to a total of 18 sites. Discussing this number of
sites may take several hours. Therefore we will plan to spend the majority of the day at your
office for the meeting.
We assume you will have your site specific staff attending the meeting for sites they are
overseeing_ Perhaps it would be less disruptive for your staff if Nye grouped the sites for
discussion by SJCPHS staff. For example, we may want to first discuss sites that Michael
Infurna oversees, then discuss sites that Jeffrey Wong oversees, etc. This way SJCPHS staff
does not need to be present for discussion of sites that they are not involved with. Also,
please let us know if you plan to prepare an agenda for the meeting or if you would like us to
prepare one. If you prepare the agenda, we would appreciate an advance copy of it to help us
prepare for the meeting.
Oaklaed, CA
San Ramon, CA Below we have prepared a brief summary of the sites to be discussed. These summaries are
Sonoma, CA
provided to give you a current status of the site and to help identify outstanding issues with
CRh*da sites for discussion during our meeting.
Envirearmreatal
hshhok w.the.
270 Perkins Street
P.O.BMc Z59
Sa"Ma,GA 95176
Tai(707)935-4840
Fax(707)935-6649
