CAMBRIA <br /> December 21, 1999 <br /> Mr Jeffery Wong <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Webber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Investigation/Fourth Quarter 1999 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Shell-branded Service Station <br /> 4315 Waterloo Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 136143 <br /> Incident No 98996183 <br /> Dear Mr Wong <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Equrva <br /> Services LLC (Equiva) to document the site investigation activities conducted on September <br /> 15, 1999 at the above referenced site (Figure 1) The purpose of the investigation was to <br /> determine whether petroleum hydrocarbons or fuel oxygenates have impacted groundwater <br /> beneath the site The work was requested in San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS/EDH) May 10, 1999 correspondence The work <br /> was performed in accordance with the SJCPHS/EDH and Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description The subject property is an operating Shell-branded service station located at <br /> 4315 Waterloo Road in a commercial area of Stockton, California (Figure 1) The station <br /> layout includes two double-walled fiberglass underground storage tanks (USTs), two dispenser <br /> islands, and a service station building (Figure 2) <br /> Previous Investigations During December 1994, four single-walled steel USTs (two 5,000- <br /> Oakland <br /> ,000- <br /> OakIand CA gallon, one 8,000-gallon, and one 7,000-gallon) and associated product piping were removed <br /> Sonoma CA petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected from the former UST <br /> Portland OR <br /> S e a t t s e WA excavation Over-excavation was performed and additional soil samples were collected One <br /> soil sample collected from the excavation sidewall at 14 feet below grade (fbg) contained 380 <br /> Cambna parts per million (ppm) total purgeable petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) Two <br /> Environmental soil samples collected at depths of 4 5 and 6 fbg from the dispenser island areas contained <br /> Technology,Inc <br /> 1,600 and 1,700 ppm TPHg Complete results of the UST removal ate documented in the <br /> *rkins Street Fugro West, Inc April 19, 1995 Underground Storage Tank Closure Report <br /> P O Box 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4850 <br /> Fax(707)935-6649 <br />
